..Friday night's Roar was incredible. It really blew me away.. Dave Reardon was doing the talk (it was awesome btw), he's like the state christian youth ministry leader for WA, and it was really fantastic.. it was about wrestling with God as Jacob did in Genesis 32 for blessing ("I will not let you go unless you bless me"), & get beyond just doing the usual scraping-the-surface christian thing and go deeper into where God's at & being the 'BMW' christian.. haha that was funny, his story. (; But yeah i reckon that was one of the BEST preachings i've ever heard and i think God spoke to me that night, as in seriously spoke, and i dunno where the tears came from but they came and i was just overwhelmed.. it was amazing. and now i really feel that we should try to wrestle God and pray as hard as we can for the lost people out there who don't know God, that we should wrestle for our friends, our schools, our unsaved generation. On friday this whole thing just came upon me and after that i just felt totally changed and renewed like God has cast off all my burdens and is saying, "come wrestle Me for I want you to use your strengths to go forth in this world and spread the love and glory of Heaven and feel the revelation of satisfaction in righteousness"... and the worship on friday, the music, was incredible, especially the one to whom the lyrics up there belong to.. AWESOME i tell you. i went on a fast today; i believe this is the breakthrough God has been planning for me. i really really want others to feel how i have felt, and to see what i have seen, and to run the great race with God all the way to the finish line. I LOVE ROAR, those who wanna come please come! (((: it's a fantastic youth thing, love it to death..(: At the Melville civic centre's 'The Vault' on fridays at 7.45pm to 9.30-ish.. but next friday we're going to go to the melville aquatic centre for games and fun and all that, i reckon it's gonna be brilliant as always... [to lisa~ are you gonna bring anyone to next fri's? i reckon i am, hey. do we have transport? haha reply in the tagboard k, if you're reading this..] ..today i just had church prac at the Fuller house (they have a drumset!) & yeah to practise for the music part of the children's takeover outreach next next sunday.. i bet i'm gonna forget all the drumrolls by tmr.. gotta get to church at 8am tmr to prac some more.. and music auditions! oh yeah. must remember that. Well anyway with all this talk of church.. one other thing to say is that I STILL LOVE CCMC!! lovelovelove. (: my church for practically a million years & will never forget it as long as i live.. haha. love you laur, deb, pris, sulin, grace, etc etc ((((: go OC.. can't wait for church camp, when's it again? i can come back in time for it now cos they just said that the school term will be ending on the 9th of dec instead of the 16th.. so it's less rushed.. whee. i insist we have an 'over! haha. after the church camp that is. (x ...just found out, we're having the great chinese takeout for dinner (the restaurant is right across the road from our house) so we're ordering from there.. the sweet&sour chicken is spectacular. haha.. and my fast is over now, it was from 9am to 5pm (i originally wanted to do a whole day, but then shortened it down to 12h and then shortened it again to 8h cos my mom was going on about not having enough nutrients).. so i can eat the chicken after all! haha. but it's curious that i wasnt hungry the whole day since i woke up (at eight thirty hehe) without having anything to eat (so many temptations!! namely mee siam, chips and pancakes).. it's God that gave me the power of drive and determination, something i rarely have when it comes to abstaining from food x)... ..oog just remembered, i've got auditions in week 5.. for the drama production next year called Disco Inferno.. hope i get in ('hope' is such a fragile word, isn't it. fragile but powerful!) .. haha if you wanna see the audition pack for fun it's at www.mcdrama.com, under Downloads... i've gotta sing some 70's song like Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word or something, oh dearrrr. why must it have to be a musical?? haha but ah well they say they have acting parts with no singing so i'll go for that i suppose.. hm i'll go set up some prayer list in my templates now. the start of spring
So the winds have blown, the rains have swept, the stars have streaked. It's not been an easy ride these few days, even with the lack of exams. But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger (or so I've heard) and yeah, i reckon things will turn out alright. (: They always do, in the end.
Right?
Ah well. Anyway. The positive side of the hols. 1. last week went really fast! This week is, too. The saturday (24th sept) i landed in singapore (we arrived at 9pm!) i went to laur's to sleepover [or as deb calls it, an 'over. haha.].. proceeded to go out with laur & deb & their corresponding counterparts to plaza sing. the next day (ate @ gelare, watched Cinderella Man and talked)...then over the next few days i went to watch Brothers Grimm with my sis and (cough) her yr11 friend (coughs again), tour orchard road, meet jiaen at btp and talk ourselves to death, visit mgs at blackmore for recess with them lot (:, meet lk for lunch @ billy bombers, go for an awesome gig with cootsie, play piano at grandfather's bday (eightieth!), stay back after church with laur stranded at the bamboo court cos of the rain with nothing but her guitar and my camera, take loony pictures (correction: LOTS of loony pictures), neoprints galore, watch corpse bride with sisters, have the wackiest time with deb criticising the health foods in the supermarket, have the longest phone convo with je (x, etc etc etc... it's been really fulfilling these few days (minus the weird negative feelings lurking somewhere in the background).. (((: i'll miss all you singaore folks when i leave this sunday.. haha midnight flight! yawwnnn i'm getting tired already. hm what time is it now? nine pm? oh gee. better go do hw (which wll always end up with me going on msn instead) haha... seeya! ~ame xxxx
